Leap Day Newborns Welcomed at Our Medical Center

Two “leaplings” were welcomed into the world on February 29 at our Medical Center. These two babies, born on Leap Day, will both be celebrating their birthdays on February 28 each year, and, their parents have promised two celebrations every four years! Left photo, Theodore, who is the first baby born to Kristen and Mario Flajslik of Hopkinton, surprised his parents when he made his entrance into the world two weeks early. Right photo, Sheila and Ryan Gaffey welcomed son, Andrew, into their family. Though arriving a couple of days late, Andrew will be joining his sisters, Nora and Kaley at home in Shrewsbury. Help us raise awareness for colorectal cancer and prevention through education and conversation! Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths with over 50,000 people dying from colon cancer each year in the United States alone. This month, the Medical Center and Sodexo are celebrating National Nutrition Month with a New England flair. On Monday, March 7, join the farmers’ market display in our cafeterias. Did you know that locally grown foods reach the table sooner and are often are more nutritious than the same item grown further away? The action station will feature a mindful recipe that incorporates local ingredients. Nourished by New England,
