David ‘Duddie’ Massad’s Legacy Lives On at Our Medical Center

David “Duddie” Massad – the man for whom our Medical Center’s Emergency and Trauma Center was named following his generous $12.5 million gift in 2005 – passed away last week the age of 90. “Duddie Massad was a great man whose legacy will live on. His tremendous philanthropic support of our Medical Center not only benefited UMass Memorial, but I believe it impacted the cause of emergency and trauma care in Central Massachusetts,” said President and CEO Eric Dickson, MD. “He was a business giant and humanitarian who leaves a footprint on the City of Worcester that will be hard to match.
