Celebrate Breakthrough Ideas: Visit Everyone, Everyday Website

 

credo-bits-2If you weren’t able to attend an Everyone, Everyday film festival last month, learn more about the featured teams being celebrated for their breakthrough ideas on our revamped Everyone, Everyday website. We want to hear your team story! Share an innovative idea that has resulted in better access to our services, improved quality of care, or enhanced the patient or caregiver experience. Send in the name of your team, department or unit, campus and your idea by April 30 and you’ll be considered for inclusion in a future phase of Everyone, Everyday!

Check Out New Everyone, Everyday Videos and Caregiver Exhibits

If you didn’t get a chance to stop by a film festival last week, watch the video on our revamped Everyone, Everyday website! You can also meet the featured teams through new exhibits posted earlier this month around our Medical Center campuses. These exhibits can be found at:

  • University Campus in the main hallway near the ground floor cafeteria
  • Memorial Campus in the caregiver hallway between the vascular lab and radiology
  • Hahnemann Campus in the atrium hallway just past the main lobby

Join Everyone, Everyday Premiere; Rescheduled on Hahnemann Campus

Reminder: You’re invited to an Everyone, Everyday Film Festival! Join us this week at a screening near you to celebrate breakthrough ideas and the caregivers behind them. See the trailer, below, for a sneak peek! Through video, learn more about our Medical Center Eye Center, Marlborough Hospital Lab and HealthAlliance Home Health and Hospice teams. By focusing on communication, continuity and quality of care, efficiency and access, find out how their efforts dramatically improved their caregiver experience, the patient experience and quality of care delivered. Popcorn, refreshments and fun giveaways will be provided (while supplies last!).

Everyone, Everyday: Caregiver Spotlight on Peter Maynard

Congratulations to Peter Maynard, carpentry specialist, Facilities Management, University Campus, for being recently nominated as part of the Everyone, Everyday program! Peter was nominated by Gina Gardner, RN, pediatric nurse manager, for his kindness and attention to detail. “Peter worked with me to remove cabinets from five rooms in the PICU. He’s an ultimate professional. He is always positive and takes such pride in his work. Everyone, Everyday: Epic Integration and Collaboration

With the October 1 Epic go-live just four days away, let’s highlight and celebrate some of our Everyone, Everyday super users as they prepare for this important event. Meet these Epic super users, featured in posters throughout Epic end user training rooms. Learn how their everyday work will be impacted by this new system’s ability to integrate information and foster collaboration.

  • Stacey Anderson, RN, BSN, case management/utilization review coordinator, Marlborough Hospital: Epic helps Stacey ensure accurate, timely discharge information is shared with all members of her patients’ care teams.
  • Anthony Calamare, orthopedics technician, Medical Center: Anthony uses Epic’s powerful procedure documentation to bill for applications of casts and splints with just one or two clicks.

Epic Launch to Enhance Caregiver and Patient Experience


With the Epic launch less than two weeks away, let’s highlight and celebrate some of our Everyone, Everyday super users as they prepare for this important event. Meet these Epic super users, featured in posters throughout Epic end user training rooms. Learn how their everyday work and the patient experience across our health care system will be impacted by this new technology.

  • Theresa Tucker, mammography technologist, Women’s Imaging Center, Marlborough Hospital: Epic makes it easier for Theresa and other mammography technologists to collaborate with radiologists by integrating imaging and other information into patient records.
  • Nancy Palo, RN, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), HealthAlliance Hospital: Epic allows the vital signs of Nancy’s patients to be automatically pulled into their charts, so she always has the most up-to-date health information.
  • Patty Bonnette, RN, Cardiovascular Clinic, Medical Center: Patty can spend more time helping patients and less time documenting their care, thanks to Epic’s automatic integration of information into charts.
