Congratulations to the Hungry and Helping Hearts at 306 Belmont Street for raising the most money as a team for UMass Memorial Health Care at the Central MA Heart Walk. Combined with the Albanian Helping Hearts, the teams at 306 Belmont Street raised more than $11,000 for the walk with a soup cookoff, an Albanian luncheon and more. Team Captains Donna Sides, Tom Callahan and Bedrana Flamuraj want to thank everyone for their participation in raising money and awareness for heart disease. Many of our senior leaders joined in to support the Heart Walk with the 306 Belmont Street team.

UMass Memorial Health Care Is Top Fundraiser at Heart Walk

Team UMass Memorial Health Care is the top fundraising organization for this year’s Central MA Heart Walk raising about $40,000. One of our teams, The Hungry and Helping Hearts at 306 Belmont Street, and one of that team’s captains, Donna Sides, also took the titles of top team and top fundraiser. John Keaney, MD, chief of cardiovascular medicine and chair of this year’s walk, said, “By supporting the American Heart Association’s mission to end cardiovascular disease and stroke, we can change our community and improve the lives of family, friends and neighbors.” It’s not too late make a donation to Team UMass Memorial and become part of the change. Thanks to all our participants, donors and volunteers!
