Order Your Go Red Gear; Drop by Cafeterias to See Samples

It’s time to place your orders for Go Red t-shirts and vests. Clothing samples can be viewed in the cafeterias on our Hahnemann, Memorial and University campuses, Front Street, and Worcester Business Center, Mondays to Wednesdays, 11:30 am to 1 pm. Stop by, check out the samples, and order your gear. The deadline to order is Friday, January 19. Orders will be delivered prior to January 30. Downlod the order form. And if you are planning to donate a department raffle basket for Go Red, email gored@umassmemorial.org by January 19 with the contact name, unit/department, the number of baskets and the themes (if known) for each.

On June 15, Staples Business Advantage will become the UMass Memorial Health Care provider for office supplies. Employees currently authorized to order office supplies are invited to join one of the online training sessions (see flyer):

  • Monday, June 19, 2 pm
  • Tuesday, June 20, 10 am
  • Thursday, June 22, 10 am

Authorized to Order Supplies? Register with Staples; Join Training

Staples Business Advantage will be our new systemwide provider for ordering office supplies starting June 15. Over the coming weeks, we’ll transition ordering from our current vendor, OfficeMax. Employees currently authorized for ordering office supplies are reminded to register online with Staples Business Advantage as soon as possible. This step is important so that Staples Business Advantage can set up user profiles and desktop delivery locations. Be sure to have your department’s cost center number and vice president contact information handy. If you need assistance, ask your manager. Credo Cards Describe Us as Caregivers; Get Some for Your Team! 

credo-cardsHave you had a chance to see our new Everyone, Everyday program credo cards that describe why everyone is a caregiver? It states: “It’s not just the person who delivers the care. It’s all the people who make it work … and make it better.” Managers, to receive credo cards for your departments today simply email communications@umassmemorial.org. There are two versions of the credo card; one is business card size and the other four-by-nine inches. Share our credo with your team that includes these inspiring words: “We are more than 12,000 employees. Working together as one health care system. MassHealth Appeal and Mandate Now Effective; Find Forms You’ll Need

A new MassHealth appeal process is in effect since September 1 for limited coverage of denied services that requires caregivers to complete a certification form in order to receive payment. In addition, a new MassHealth mandate requires clinicians who orders, refers and prescribes be enrolled with the Medicaid program.
