Dr. Goss Publishes a Chapter in Orthopedic Textbook

Dr. Goss

Dr. Goss

Thomas Goss, MD, chief of orthopedic shoulder surgery, has authored a chapter entitled “Fractures of the Scapula” in Rockwood and Matsen’s The Shoulder. Dr. Goss has written extensively on how to diagnose fractures of the scapula (shoulder blade) accurately as well as treat them appropriately, and is considered an authority on the subject. These fractures are uncommon and the vast majority are treated non-surgically. However, a small percentage require operative management. Dr. Goss has treated many such patients during his 37 years at the Medical Center.
